This week's episode is a double header! Onezumi, the mind behind Intervention, and Jamie Noguchi, artist of Yellow Peril Comic and Super Art Fight, join us for back-to-back interviews.
Our first segment is a quick mid-con chat with the conchair herself, Onezumi. Now, anyone who's run a con can tell you that it is no mean feat finding 20 minutes to turn off your walkie, tell everyone that there will be NO emergencies, and to just sit down. It's a testament to the con's organization that Oni was able to do exactly that (and evidence of her generosity that she spent that break letting us beg her for haunted house stories).
Despite a meager two hours sleep after a night of performing both as an opening band then as an art fighter, Jamie Noguchi took time out of the con to bring us up to speed on everything from YPComic to Noisy Zen. Jamie brings us up to speed on a few of the rules of Art Fight, and there's even a teaser trailer in there for our upcoming podcast with Jennie Breeden.
Here's hoping this week's mp3 download link works.

Now, you've heard a bit about the con with our podcast last week. Remember how I said we were Tarantino'ing it? So we're heading back to our first interview, bright eyed and bushy tailed we woke up at the crack of noon to steal a bit of the conchair's time.
We discussed everything from the slight timing change of Intervention 2013 (which will be in August) to the awesome NSFW-ness of Superhero Vaginas (BTW: Thanks, Oni. That is now in my cache of Google searches. <3). Oh, and that's not what it sounds like, it's vaginas dressed as superheroes. We also got to talk about her reviews for haunted houses. Long story short, she saw that some haunted house owners were being shitbags and decided to fairly review as many attractions on the East Coast as possible. Now's the perfect time to check out her blog and podcast as we're coming up on Halloween.
Here are a few of the places to find Onezumi's work:

- Podcast: Rantings of the Stupid & Insane

Jamie has done so many different projects, that it's difficult to type up a concise introduction. I have to admit, I'm a recent fangirl after tearing through the archives of Yellow Peril comic a few months ago, and falling in love with the snarky look at the DC-based graphic design wage slaves. His bio boasts another half dozen comics, and that's before talking about his band, Noisy Zen, or his involvement with Super Art Fight.
Even with the dozens of ongoing projects, when asked for plugs about his own work, Jamie focused on promoting friends instead. Specifically Kelsey Wailes and her comic Doctor Kawaii. So I'm boosting the signal by putting the reference out here in the show notes. Beyond the awesome watercolor-like art, the comic this week features Dr. Who and Jambi from Pee Wee's Playhouse. If that isn't worth an RSS subscription, then I don't know what is.
Here's where to find some of Jamie's work:
- Comic: Yellow Peril
- PUPPY COW: Puppy Cow is best cow.
- Deviant Art: AngryZenMaster
- Twitter: @AngryZenMaster
- Tumblr: yellowperil.tumblr.com/
- Portfolio: Jamihn
- Store: Aine recommends - Remember, Pandas are BEARS!
- Friend who you should bug about her awesome comic: Kelsey Wailes
Thanks to both of our amazing guests. You guys were awesome, and I look forward to seeing you all at future cons!
